Lent is the forty-day Christian observance preceding Easter meant to be a time of self-reflection, contemplation, and meditation, particularly with regard to our relationship with God. This is not the exclusive purview of Christianity, so let us open our minds to the universality of this process as a way for all who strive to be faithful.
Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week for many Christians. I personally find it to be one of the most disheartening stories in the Bible.
